Vehicle Description
Royal Enfield’s 350cc Clipper was propelled by a four-stroke, single cylinder, overhead valve engine with bore and stroke of 70mm x 90mm. This efficient engine developed 15bhp at 5,500rpm, some 4bhp more than the 250 Clipper alongside which it was produced. Suspension was by telescopic front forks and swinging arm rear and ignition by magneto/dynamo rather than the coil/alternator system of the 250. The Clipper perhaps sat a little in the shadows compared with the good looking Crusader and Bullet models but nevertheless provided excellent utility transport at a budget price. Royal Enfield’s own marketing described the Clipper as a ‘safe general purpose machine’.
This is a lovely example of one coming in a very striking green colour with gold decals, the bike will also come with a logo’ed Royal Enfield Leather satchel which attaches to the bike to make a real little party piece.
